PRACTICE 01 / CONSULTING & ADVISORY

Technology advice before technology spend.

Assess the business challenge, test assumptions and compare practical approaches before committing to a new system or expensive rebuild.

All scope, specialist availability, deadlines and commercial terms require project-specific confirmation.

THREE CONSULTING ENGAGEMENTS

Start with an assessment, not an open-ended promise.

Choose the kind of decision you need to make. Prices and durations are confirmed after reviewing the scope.

01Scope confirmed before engagement

Technical Assessment

A bounded review of an existing website, system or workflow.

  • Discovery questions and available evidence
  • Priority-ranked observations and constraints
  • A practical findings summary and next steps
Discuss this service
02Planning engagement

Solution Blueprint

Turn a problem and requirements into an implementable plan.

  • Core workflows and functional scope
  • Concept architecture and integration dependencies
  • Delivery phases, assumptions and acceptance points
Discuss this service
03Independent advisory scope

Independent Project Review

Review a proposed vendor solution, existing plan or delivery status.

  • Review criteria agreed in advance
  • Identified risks and open questions
  • Decision memo with alternatives

ADVISORY DISCIPLINES

Right-sized to the decision.

Additional advisory topics are considered if experience, information access and specialist capacity match the brief.

A

Technology strategy

Evaluate build versus buy, system priorities and dependency decisions.

  • Existing landscape review
  • Options and trade-offs
  • Proposed roadmap
B

Process & requirements analysis

Map current steps and identify what should be fixed, connected or automated.

  • Current / future process
  • Roles and handoffs
  • Scope and priorities
C

Solution architecture

Define feasible interfaces, data responsibilities and release boundaries.

  • Architecture options
  • Integration considerations
  • Risks and operating requirements
D

Technical project advisory

Review milestones, acceptance evidence, technical decisions and delivery risk.

  • Review agenda
  • Issues and decisions
  • Handover questions
WHAT CLIENTS RECEIVE

Make the advice inspectable.

A consulting project should produce a reviewable output instead of a vague verbal recommendation.

01Discovery & evidence

Confirm the decision, stakeholders, available records and review limits.

02Review alternatives

Consider improving existing tools, integration and custom development where appropriate.

03Provide documented findings

Deliver agreed assessment notes, assumptions, decision factors and next steps.

04Optional implementation

A separate written proposal is required before software development begins.

WHAT CONSULTING DOES NOT IMPLY

No automatic audit certificate or technical endorsement.

The limits below prevent preliminary observations from being confused with a full security, compliance or production audit.

Scope and independence

Findings depend on access, evidence and agreed methods. Regulated, legal, cybersecurity penetration-testing or formal compliance assurance requires separately qualified parties and specific scope.

Can we purchase advice without development?

Yes. Assessment and planning engagements can be discussed independently of implementation.

Is a business diagnostic report the same as a formal assessment?

No. The self-service diagnostic is only a structured starting point based on unverified inputs.

Are estimates provided automatically?

No. Fees, payment terms and schedules are reviewed for each engagement and confirmed in writing.

NEXT STEP

Make the next technology decision with better context.

Send the business question, the existing platform and what decision you need to make.
